Our Vessel - The "Hartford Belle"
The 49-passenger "Hartford Belle" was built in 1993 by Scarano Boat Building in Albany, NY and is inspected for your safety on an annual basis by the U.S. Coast Guard. She measures 47 feet in length with a 16 foot beam and draws 4 feet of water. Her shallow draft and low overhead clearance allow her to navigate areas along the Connecticut River not accessible to other boats. This includes the dock at The Jaycees Community Boathouse in Hartford's Riverside Park, as well as historic and picturesque Wethersfield Cove.
Once on board you'll notice the forward open deck - a great place to take in the sights along the river as well as enjoy the sun and river breezes. Further aft is Hartford Belle's enclosed salon. Mahogany and teak trimmed and carpeted, this area gives "The Belle" an intimate, yacht-like ambiance. In the salon you can grab a light snack and your favorite beverage, where we offer full bar service. Ample seating is available.
We normally leave the windows open in the salon but we can close them in the event the weather is not quite as favorable as we'd like it to be. An open area is located aft, along with a rest room for your convenience.
Hartford Belle's Captains are U.S. Coast Guard licensed and all of her crew are all thoroughly trained in matters concerning your safety and comfort. It will be their pleasure to welcome you aboard!
While the "Belle" is certified for a maximum of 49 passengers, we recommend that private charters limit their attendees to under 35 so everyone can be comfortably accommodated in the cabin in the event the weather is less than cooperative.
The Hartford Belle is equipped with a sound system. Private charter groups can request their preferences or are encouraged to bring along their own CD's for their choice of music.
For everyone's comfort, we kindly ask our guests to refrain from smoking while on board
